I have been told that my love for baking began back in Brazil before I could even talk. My grandmother would sit me down on the countertop as she would bake. My only job was to watch and be the taste tester (my favorite part). Once we moved to the U.S. I would then watch my mom in the kitchen and it was not long until I took over her role as the baker of the family. From then on, cooking and baking became a hobby of mine that I hoped to one day incorporate in my future career. I am constantly making desserts for family, friends and have catered parties and events in the past. With all of the positive feedback and people constantly telling me to open my own bakery, here we are.
I have a Bachelors in Food Science and Nutrition from San Diego State University. Nutrition is a huge part of my life; I enjoy eating and creating delicious healthy meals. Although it might sound a little ironic for a future dietitian to be running a bakery, I am a firm believer in balance and think we all deserve a little bit of sweetness in our lives (I also have a HUGE sweet tooth). I love coming up with new recipes and taking a spin on traditional desserts, generally a healthier one. Growing up, I would never enjoy eating cakes at parties, they looked amazing, but to me the taste never matched the expectation. With that in mind, I became committed to creating delicious recipes where taste was my main priority. I love bringing smiles to people’s faces with sweet treats, and I am beyond excited to be working with my sister to be bringing forth a unique, personal, and tasty online bakery to Orange County. Let’s see where this takes us!
